WHAT IS SOZO?
The term "sozo" is a Greek word that is translated “to save, heal, and deliver” (Mk. 10:52; Lk. 8:36; 19:10; Ro. 5:10; 10:9).
Luke 19:10 states: For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save (sozo) that which was lost. In Mark 10:52, Jesus said, “Go, your faith has healed (sozo) you.”
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF SOZO?
The primary purpose of SOZO is to bring freedom and healing into our lives. The Sozo ministry is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry in which the main aim is to get to the root of those things hindering your personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit so you can walk in your identity, destiny and the joy of an abundant life! Jesus is the author and perfecter of the manuscripts of our lives. His intention is to write a bestseller, even a blockbuster. We just participate in what He is doing. We don't deliver anyone. They are already delivered. We just help them to shift their gaze to Father God's face and His promises and to apply His grace and truth to the places of wounding, deception, and bondage (John 1:14-18). God is after absolute freedom. He desires us to know the truth because it will set us free. God uses SOZO Ministry in a powerful way to remove the deception, sin, and resulting emotional pain that keep us from realizing the abundant life that Jesus died for us to have. There are six tools that the SOZO team uses:
By using these tools and following the Holy Spirit, wounds are healed, strongholds broken, truth revealed, and “doors” closed. WHAT IS A SOZO SESSION? A 2 -3 person team will minister to you in a gentle, friendly, confidential, and relaxed atmosphere for approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours. A SOZO Session is not professional counseling but a time of interacting with Father, Son and Holy Spirit for wholeness and pursuing of your destiny. The Growing in Grace SOZO Ministry Team are Christian lay ministers well trained in inner healing and deliverance prayer.
A SOZO Session is designed to help you remove roadblocks and hindrances to your spiritual growth, relationships, and intimacy with God. Every SOZO is different because in each session the SOZO Team relies on the leading of the Holy Spirit. A SOZO Session typically has these elements:
1) an interview process to discuss your current struggles; 2) a prayerful search to find the root of your emotional pain and to remove it; 3) prayers to receive God’s truth and will for your life; and 4) blessing and encouragement in what God intended for you. GGM Sozo Ministry has been approved and endorsed by Bethel Church, Redding, CA;
